12 young girls from Ballinabranna National School in Carlow joined RILSA recently and are all looking forward to playing the sport along with taking part in RILSA events during the season.

Ballinabranna National School in Carlow joined RILSA recently.  the Principal Joe Doheny is delighted with the success of the sport in the School since it was first introduced some 4 years ago.

Former student Orla Fitzpatrick became the first ever RILSA National Primary School Champion in 2014 and this spurred on more of these young girls to take up snooker.

Rachel Doran and Amanda Walsh were selected from Ballinabranna N.S. to represent Ireland at the inaugural Ladies Irish International Snooker Championship in 2015.

All in all these young girls have really enjoyed playing and the new girls who just joined are looking forward to taking part in the National Primary Girls Championship in

October next.

We at RILSA are delighted to have this new batch of young girls on board and we welcome each one of them to RILSA and that they have fun and enjoy snooker for many years to come.
