Day 2 of the RILSA International saw a number of shock results as the tournament heats up

In the semis of the 6 Red event Katie French (Irl) had a good 2 nil win over Tessy Eliguese from Nigeria to reach the final while Rebecca Hanlon Molloy (Irl) overcame a close encounter with Amina Mustafa from Egypt, 2 nil in their semi final to make it an all Ireland 6 Red final.

The Intermediate event saw 10 year old Grace Byrne come through a close quarter final match against Valerie Maloney 2 frames to nil to advance to her first ever International semi final.  Emirjeta Doda representing Albania also advanced to the semis with a good 2 nil win over Rosie Young to meet Grace

The other end of the Intermediate draw saw Laura Alves from Brazil fight through a tough match against Lauren Carley (Irl) 2 frames to 1 for a semi final place.  Aine Brennan (Irl) also had a close match against Tina Keogh (Irl) to complete the Intermediate semi finals line up.

A shock result in the main event saw Susan Hanlon (Irl) win 3-1 over Sandra Bryan (Irl) to reach her first semi final place in the International.   Annette Newman (Irl) was in fine form and won 3-0 against Christine Carr (Irl) to meet Susan in the semis while at the other end of the draw Cathy Dunne (Irl) won through a hard quarter final against Michelle O’Boyle 3 frames to 1

Paula Judge (Irl) was in good form against newcomer to snooker, Louise Maher (Irl) in their quarter final match to get through 3-1 after a fight from Louise to complete the Main event semi final line up
