A group of girls from Ballinabranna National School got together with World Snooker Coach Dan Carroll at the Ivy Rooms for some coaching and they really enjoyed the few hours at the club.  This is fantastic news for the Republic of Ireland Ladies Snooker Association as more and more girls come through the School and College system that is organised by Stars Academy Ireland.

A Girls School League will commence soon in Ballinabranna National School, a first for girls and then a RILSA Schools league program will be rolled out to encourage more young girls to take up the sport.  In a few weeks time, Dan Carroll will commence a ladies league in the Ivy Rooms Carlow to give these young players more table time and coaching along the way.  Already the CBS Westland Row and Colaiste Chluan Meala are setting up table time for the girls and organising School leagues.  Thanks to Joe Doheny of Ballinabranna, Alan Bailey of CBS and Leona O’Connor of Colaiste Chluan Meala for their encouragement and great support throughout our promotions.
