Ballon N.S. in Carlow recently received a 6×3 snooker table and joined Stars Academy Ireland.  The Principal Noel Heffernan was delighted to get the School involved and will endeavour to promote the sport among the pupils at the School. Dan Carroll welcomed the School as a member and all the pupils are automatically members of Stars Academy verified by the Principal.

Dan introduced the sport and gave free coaching and explained the basic rules to the pupils. They are very interested in our Initiative and are looking forward to playing snooker.  Dan encouraged the pupils to visit the Ivy Rooms in Carlow to try out the sport on the full size tables.  These young people are the future of the sport and the future customers of the local clubs such as the Ivy Rooms, which is one of the most up to date clubs in the Country and has hosted many International events and National Championships.

Dan will visit the School again in September and set up a league to cater for the pupils during School hours and after School coaching sessions.  A big thank you to Noel Heffernan and all the Teachers and pupils of Ballon National School on joining Stars Academy Ireland and we wish them all the very best for the future.
