L-R Faye Jameson & Caitlin Tucker
The RILSA Dublin Inaugural County Championship was held in Joey’s recently with Caitlin Tucker taking the title against Faye Jameson in a close encounter.
This Dublin County Championship is part of the RILSA County promotions in 2017, with Offaly, Kildare and Carlow already having played their events earlier in the year. Meath, Tipperary are next on the cards. It’s fantastic progress for our County Federations and RILSA as the leading organisation.
The Regional Associations are currently involved with developing future projects that will be rolled out to our member schools etc. in the months and years ahead as part of the Nation Plan Pathway to Success.
Dublin, Leinster and Munster Regional Associations have got things moving and following on in 2018 we will see Connaught and Ulster make progress.
Caitlin’s win now moves her into 4th spot on the RILSA National Junior Rankings and Faye is now number 2 in Ireland, great progress for these young players of the future.
Both these girls have done well on the National circuit with Faye reaching 19th on the RILSA National Rankings and Caitlin holding 27th place. Top 32 positions are a great success for these girls as they make progress in their chosen sport.
Congratulations to Caitlin on her win and to Faye on her fine performance.
We are delighted to see newcomers, Annie Boyd, Katie Gannon and Lorena Nemes join RILSA and they are looking forward to taking part in some of the National Rankings along with the Under 21’s in October at Joey’s Dublin
Thanks to all the players for their participation and to Derek Fagan and staff of Joey’s for their support and vision towards women’s cue sports.
