The Carlow team of Annette Newman & Dan Carroll are holding a 14 point lead over Morristown team of Richard Cullen & John Dempsey as the first half of the newly formed Leinster Snooker Federation Leagues ends just before Christmas.

The League is a great success with 7 teams participating from Carlow, Offaly, Laois and Kildare.

The remaining teams are very close on points after 13 weeks of play and they are all looking forward to the second half which starts back on Tuesday 23rd January 2018.

3rd place team is Portarlington made up of Tina & Robbie Keogh who are only 2 points behind Morristown with Leon Costello & Declan Tuohy of Sharkx A holding 4th place with 71 points closley followed by Sharkx B team of Christine Carr & Peter McDermott on 70 points in 5th spot, 6th place is Cloneygowan from Offaly of Valerie & Tom Maloney on 69 points and Alan Beal (Sen) & Alan Beal representing Ballymany in Kildare in 7th spot on 60 points.

As you can see, there is still a lot of snooker ahead during the second half of the league and anything can happen with many results during the first half very close indeed.

In the individual ranking, Dan Carroll holds a 1 point advantage over Robbie Keogh, with Leon Costello in 3rd spot, again things can change dramatically during the second half of the league.

A huge thanks to all our teams and players who travel good distances each week to play their matches in fantastic spirits and it certainly makes for a great league and creates a fantastic social side to things when everyone really looks forward to the evening at Sharkx Newbridge.

Thanks to Bernie & Paul of Sharkx for all their support towards these leagues.

We look forward to seeing you all in January 2018.  Have a great Christmas and best wishes to everyone for 2018
