The 17th Dublin Snooker Federation League season has just started at Joey’s Dublin.  With teams representing, Joey’s snooker club, Griffith snooker club, Clontarf & Sportslink, it promises to be yet another great season.

The Griffith Club won the inaugural title in 2001-2002 and retained it the following season.  The Griffith club have won the title on 4 occasions with the 4th win last season followed by Joey’s and the Classic who have won the league on 3 occasions each over the years.

Breaks snooker club won the title twice while Sportslink, ALSAA, Westbury and Mountjoy have won it once.

The Cup Competition has been a great success since it was introduced during the 2005 – 2006 season.  Homefarm won the inaugural Cup event in 2006.  Mountjoy have been the most successful club with 4 Cup titles in the last 12 years followed by by the Griffith club and Classic club who have won it twice.  Other winners of the Cup are Joey’s, Westbury and current holders Sportslink.

With the inaugural Leinster Snooker Federation Leagues just started at Sharkx in Newbridge, we envisage a merge between both regions with inter regional events in 2018, more to follow on this later.

We wish everyone involved with the Dublin & Leinster Federations every good wishes and a great league season for all.

Thanks to both Joey’s and Sharkx for their fantastic support towards grass root snooker.
