Fergal O’Brien has teamed up with RILSA in support of our ongoing promotion initiatives at grass root level.  Fergal’s involvement will certainly advance our initiatives as we make astounding progress with our 10 year plan for women’s cue sports here in Ireland.

Along with promoting women’s cue sports, we are in support with Stars Academy Ireland junior snooker, where hundreds of young boys through our initiatives will come through the schools and youth reach centres, out onto the circuit around Ireland in the years ahead.

Fergal was invited to Portarlington Snooker Club recently to give an exhibition to help the club gain more members and in doing so keep grass root snooker alive and well in the area.  RILSA are delighted with Fergal’s support and he will make himself available from time to time each season to visit a number of our member clubs.

The evening at Portarlington Snooker Club was a great success with a lot of fun and banter among the players with Fergal.  The clubs committee of Fran, Tom, Pat and Wayne were delighted with the evening’s entertainment and all the junior players were treated to a fantastic evening at the club.

Our RILSA National Secretary Tina Keogh along with Annette Newman and Valerie Maloney were on hand to help out and have a frame of snooker with Fergal.

Thanks to Fergal for his support and making the evening at Portarlington very enjoyable and always the gentleman. Thanks to the Portarlington Snooker Club’s committee and RILSA for organising the event where everyone had a great time.
