Jeong Min Park representing South Korea won the recent Ladies Irish Open Intermediate International title at Joey’s Dublin beating Margaret Browne (Irl) 3-2 in a very close final.
Jeong had a good 3-0 win over Laura Alves (Brazil) in the semi final to reach her first final here in Ireland while Margaret Browne (Irl) had a good 3-0 win over Christine Carr (Irl) to meet Jeong in the final.
With the final levelled at 2-2 both players were in great form and it came down to yet another black ball
finish in which Jeong potted to take the win and title at Joey’s.
Congratulations to Jeong on her win and to Margaret for a great performance. Thanks to all the players and to the referee Robbie Keogh for his help on the day and throughout the weekend.
