After a longs day play at the RILSA International Irish Open on day 2 of this festival of women’s snooker at Joey’s Dublin, young Katie French from Kildare and representing Ireland came out the victor in the 6 Red event after a good 2 nil win over Tessy Eliguese from Nigeria in the semis, while another young player, Rebecca Hanlon Molloy from Dublin and representing Ireland won her semi final match 2 frames to nil against Amina Moustafa from Egypt to make it an all Ireland 6 Red International Final

Katie was in fine form as she produced some great snooker against Rebecca to win 2 frames to nil and take her first International Title.

We in RILSA congratulate Katie on her win and we look forward to seeing her on the RILSA Tour commencing in September.

Thanks to Derek Fagan and staff of Joey’s for all their help and support, much appreciated by all at RILSA.  Thanks to Clr Deirdre Heney for officiating and presenting the prizes once again at this years International.
