The 6th staging of the Republic of Ireland Ladies Snooker Association National Primary Schools Championship was held at the RILSA Academy at Sharkx Newbridge.

Katie Geraghty Glynn from Ballinabranna Carlow took the title against fellow friend Lilymay Hosey in a good final at Sharkx.

The Quarter Finals were an all Carlow affair with Brona Fitzgerald winning out over Katie Sweeney for a place in the semis. Lilymay Hosey who reached the semis last year was back again fighting to go one better this time out and with a strong win over Amy McDonald she was on course to do just that.

Katie Geraghty Glynn was in fine form against Mia Fitzpatrick and went through comfortably and to complete the semi final line up Amy Farrell went through over Alisha Molloy in their quarter final.

Lilymay continued her strong play against Brona to deliver on her goal to go one better and reach the final with a good win.  On the other table Katie was too strong for Amy and won comfortably to meet Lilymay in the final.

The final was close for a while but Katie moved ahead with good potting and finished strong to take the win and Title of RILSA National Primary School Champion 2019.

Congratulations to Katie on her win and to Lilymay on a fine performance.  Well done to all the girls for their participation and helped make the event a great success once again.  Thanks to all the teachers and parents for their support its very much appreciated.

Thanks to Bernie & Paul of Sharkx Newbridge for providing excellent facilities for this and all of our events.
