World Billiards Coach Aidan Murray continues his coaching of lady players for RILSA as the season’s National Billiards Championships get closer with the National Intermediate in October followed in November with the Inaugural 100Up National Championship and finishing off the 2019 season with the National Amateur Billiards Championship in December.

We were delighted to see two new players join in the Ladies Billiards.  Margaret Browne and Louise Jordan attended the coaching with Aidan in the CYMS Newbridge recently, bringing the number of active lady billiard players up to 10 which is a great result for us here in Ireland.

Both Margaret and Louise were delighted with the coaching and introduction to ladies billiards and we look forward to seeing them on the tour in 2020.  They might have a go at the National Championships before the end of the year.

Thanks to Aidan for all his help and support and also thanks to Jim Carrick and the committee of the CYMS for their support towards our Association.

Any female who wishes to take up playing billiards, we are here to get you started with a few coaching sessions with Aidan before you start on the tour as these sessions will give you the required knowledge to get you on your way playing competitive billiards.  Please make contact by email on

Our objective over the next few years is to double the numbers of females playing billiards.
