Megan Randle from Kilkenny won the 3rd Intermediate Ranking event at Joeys recently adding this to her Intermediate National Title earlier in the season.  Megan played her mam Suzanne in the final making it for an interesting meeting between mother and daughter.

In her Quarter Final match against Jennifer Earle from Dublin, Megan had a comfortable 2 nil to go on to meet Tina Keogh in the semis.  The semi final was close all the way down to the pink ball in which Megan potted for frame and a place in the final.

The other half of the draw saw Emirjeta Doda (Dublin) overcome a close encounter against Valerie Maloney from Offaly to win through to the semis while Suzanne Randle (Kilkenny) proved too strong for Katie French (Kildare) in their Quarter final to advance to meet Emirjeta in the semis.  Suzanne played well against Emirjeta to win through to meet daughter Megan in the final

Megan started well in frame 1 but Suzanne had her chance to take the frame however Megan took her chances well to take the first frame and again it was a close affair in frame 2 but Megan held in to win it and take the 3rd Intermediate ranking of the RILSA tour season.

Megans win puts her into number 3 on the Intermediate provisional rankings just behind Valerie Maloney and Tina Keogh 2nd and 1st places respectively.  Suzanne takes 7th spot with her other daughter Carrie making 8th spot with all 3 family members holding top 8 places.  Young Jennifer Earle is making great progress holding 6th.  With 3 more events in 2019 the gap is closing and making it very interesting to see who keeps within the top 8 by the end of the season.

Congratulations to Megan on her win and to Suzanne on her fine performance throughout.  A big thank you to all the players for their support.  Thanks to Derek Fagan and staff of Joeys for all their help also.
