World Snooker Coach Dan Carroll presented the young junior snooker players of Darndale National School in Dublin recently with their medals, for their participation in the junior snooker events during 2015. Dan visited the School every Wednesday for a 12 week period to organise and coach these young players at Darndale National School.
All the players really enjoyed these events and have improved their skills over the period. The Snooker in the School has fantastic results with the children as it helps them with maths and concentration along with hand and eye coordination. The Principal, Breda Murray is extremely happy with the children’s progress and has booked Dan again for the 2015-2016 Snooker class and events.
All the coaching is free for these children as they are encouraged to take up the sport and enjoy it. Ruth B McMahon is the lead teacher for this programme and she has seen fantastic results with all of the children who have took part over the past two years.
Thanks to Breda and Ruth for their support and we look forward to the new season of snooker in September 2015. A big thank you to all the children for taking part and we wish them well during the years ahead with their snooker.
