The Republic of Ireland Ladies Snooker Association National Amateur Ladies Ranking list so far this season shows a total of 150 females who have competed in our events over the past two years.  This is a new record for RILSA as we continue to develop and promote female cue sports here in Ireland.

This season to date we had 66 females who took part in our events and this will rise before end of March 2020 as many more events have yet to be played.

Topping the provisional ranking is Annette Newman from Carlow who is the current number 1 and has held this spot for 4 seasons.  Number 2 is Cathy Dunne from Dublin close on Annette’s heels and is capable of taking the number 1 spot by seasons end.

3rd place is Michelle French from Kildare who has had a good season to date and this is her highest ever ranking with RILSA, she is hoping to keep in the top 4 by the end of March 2020.

4th place provisionally is our scholarship girl Jennifer Earle from Dublin who has made great progress in the sport.  Jennifer is hoping to keep within the top 8 this season.

5th is the current number 2, Christine Carr from Kildare followed closely by Paula Judge from Dublin in 6th spot, who is climbing up the rankings with two good wins recently. Tina Keogh from Offaly holding 7th place and hoping to keep within the top 8 for her 5 season in a row and completing the top 8 is veteran of RILSA Margaret Browne from Meath who has been a top 4 and top 8 player for many years with the organisation.

In 2020 these rankings will play an integral part of selection for European, International and World events as our Calendar will show as we make progress in the new year.

In particular our top 8 players will be in with a chance of selection along with our current champion and number 1 who will automatically be selected and those ranked after will be selected in their order.

As per rules & guidelines we at RILSA can request players from the National Intermediate rankings along with a wild card player.  We can also hold pre-qualifying events if necessary.

So ladies make sure you get along to our events in 2020 and give yourself every chance of selection to represent your country as events unfold during the season.

Our Calendar is being updated on our website so please check it out on a regular basis.
