The Republic of Ireland Ladies Snooker Association, got their Carlow Leagues under way recently at the Ivy Rooms. With a fantastic field of 16 young players from around the County, representing RILSA member schools of Hacketstown, Ballinabranna and St Laserians.
The enthusiasm of all these young girls is amazing to say the least as they set about in carving careers in snooker with their first league event at the Ivy Rooms in Carlow.
Thanks to all the girls for joining and to the parents and teachers of their respective schools, I’m sure they are all very proud of them as we are in RILSA for their interest and we wish them all the best of luck and most of all an enjoyable league over the next 16 to 18 weeks.
Liz Lawler from St Laserians tops the table closely followed by Lauren Carley of the Griffith Club in second place and Keara Minion from Ballinabranna in 3rd place with Megan King from Hacketstown in a close 4th spot. A league table will be published every 4 weeks.
RILSA would like to wish Jeong Min Park (Grace) and her dad Hee the very best of luck and thanks for their support while they were in Ireland. They will be heading home to South Korea soon and we hope to see them again in Leeds in April at the World Championships.
