The Republic of Ireland Ladies Snooker Association held an open day at their Academy at Sharkx Newbridge recently. World Snooker Coach and RILSA Chairman Dan Carroll was on hand to give an introduction on the Association along with some advice and free coaching to those in attendance.
A number of the Special Needs players both male and female were given coaching and tips to help them with their game. They all enjoyed their time at the Academy.
A number of young ladies from Japan also availed of the coaching and were impressed with the day at Sharkx. They were amazed at the success of the women’s sport here in Ireland and would like to see snooker for women introduced in Japan and promoted as we in RILSA are doing here. They all enjoyed the day and will return again soon to play snooker at the Academy.
The Republic of Ireland Ladies Snooker Association are delighted to introduce and encourage the sport to all girls and women and will continue with their promotions and initiatives as the sport grows here in Ireland.
