NATIONAL INTERMEDIATE BILLIARDS CHAMPIONSHIP
The Inaugural National Intermediate Billiards Championship was held at Sharkx Newbridge in 2018 with Christine Carr from Kildare taking the title against Valerie Maloney from Laois. Christine would soon turn Amateur, leaving the door open for more players to contest Intermediate Billiards. Valerie Maloney would soon make an impact on the Intermediate Billiards Tour and win two rankings during the 2018 season putting her into the number 1 spot on the National Intermediate Billiards Ranking list.
2019 would see Valerie continue her dominance on the Intermediate Billiards Tour and finish the season with two ranking wins and taking the 2019 National Intermediate Billiards Championship Title along with finishing number 1 for the second season in a row. To date Valerie started the 2020 season taking a win in the first of the season. Roisin Beale from Kildare has made great progress over the two seasons to date having been runner up on 4 occasions in ranking events, finishing number 2 in 2018. Tina Keogh from Offaly is currently the number 2 Irish player on the Tour after her successful 2019 season with two National Ranking wins.
