The Inaugural National 6 Red Championship was held in 2015 with Sandra Bryan from Wexford taking the title. Over the years this event has secured its place in the Association’s seasonal calendar of events. The National 6 Red Championship is accredited with National Ranking points and is one of our popular competitions on the calendar.
NATIONAL 6 RED CHAMPIONSHIP
The inaugural National 6 Red Championship took place in Joey’s Snooker Club Dublin in 2015 and was won by Sandra Bryan from Wexford against Annette Newman from Carlow. In 2016 Sandra and Annette contested the final once again with Sandra retaining the title and the first player to do so. 2017 we saw it happen again with Sandra and Annette contesting the final for the 3rd year in a row with Sandra winning it for the 3rd time, creating a new record. In 2018 Annette reached the final for the 4th year but to just lose out to Michelle French from Kildare in the final. Annette reached the final again for the 5th year in a row and was to win the National 6 Red Title on her 5th attempt against Tina Keogh from Offaly.
