Tina Keogh won the Offaly County Championship recently beating her good friend Valerie Maloney in a great final at Portarlington.  Tina was playing great snooker throughout the event and deserved her first County Championship win to add to her Intermediate Title which she won earlier in the season.  Well done to Valerie on her fine performance in reaching the County final.

On her way to the final Tina had wins over Rosie Young in the Quarters and Joyce Forde in the semis while in the other half of the draw we saw Valerie having wins over Karen Keogh in the Quarters and Marian Blilet in the semis to meet Tina in the final.

The final was close to start with but Tina kept up her good form to win the frame and match against Valerie.

Congratulations to Tina on her win and to Valerie for her fine performance.  A big thank you to all the other women who came along and supported the first ever RILSA Offaly County Championship.  Thanks to Annette for all her help and support during the event.

These County Championships will become more popular as we continue our County promotions during the season.  We have secured County Championships in Tipperary, Dublin, Meath, Wicklow, Wexford, Laois with the possibility of Championships in Monaghan, Sligo and Galway before the end of 2017.  This is a fantastic start with this initiative having 12 County Championships completed this year.
