Over the next two years 16 Girls representing 8 counties across Ireland have commenced their Horizon Cue Sports Scholarship which covers Snooker, Billiards and Pool
Female Cue Sports Ireland Coaches, Fergal O’Brien, Dan Carroll and Aidan Murray will provide over 800 hours of free coaching to help these young girls improve their playing standard in their chosen cue sports. Most of the students are interested in playing all three disciplines in cue sports
The Academy at Sharkx will provide excellent playing conditions for all our Girls and facilitate their practice times over the next two years and beyond.
We at Female Cue Sports Ireland are absolutely delighted with the response from the teachers and coaches at our member schools along with their parents who fully support their chosen sport
We commenced on Saturday 31st May with a introductory coaching workshop and every few months we will update our members, supporters, followers on their progress
Prior to the 31st May, we held three leagues at the Academy in Snooker, Billiards and Pool for 8 of the girls which took in a 12 week schedule
Our member Schools held events to encourage girls to apply and take up a place on the scholarship, with help and support of our trained coaches in our schools
Over a number of Coaching workshops at the Donaghmoyne Snooker Club in Co Monaghan, we provided a place for a girl from the area
