Annette Newman from Carlow becomes the Inaugural National Billiards League Champion after a very successful league season at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge. Annette won all of her 10 matches over the duration of the league, a fantastic result for her as she continues her run of success this season.
The National Billiards League success is all down to all the girls who participated, they all really enjoyed the league and are looking forward to 2022 already.
Christine Carr from Kildare finished in runner up spot after compiling 6 wins out of 10, again a great result for her as she is was very consistent over the course of the league, also playing consistent is Joanna Ward from Kildare who had 6 wins to finish in 3rd spot and just behind Joanna in 4th place is Tina Keogh from Offaly having 4 wins to her name but with only 36 points separating them when it came to the overall scores.
Stephanie Foley from Carlow took 5th spot again not far from Tina with only 18 points separating them, very close indeed. Valerie Maloney from Laois finished in 6th place scoring over 1000 points overall which is a good result and can take this forward to future events as Valerie is certainly very capable of winning events as she has shown in the past two years winning the Intermediate Championship title on both occasions and held the National Intermediate number 1 spot for 3 years running.
All the girls are improving and enjoying the National Billiards tour here and we hope to see it grow in the future.
Congratulations to Annette on her great achievement winning the League and well done to Christine on a fine performance. Well done and thanks to all the girls for their support and participation throughout the league and thanks as always to Bernie, Paul and staff of Sharkx for their continued support towards female billiards.
