Annette Newman from Carlow won the 5th National Amateur Billiards Ranking event the Leinster Open at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge recently making it 3 event wins out of 5 this season.
In this timed round robin event Annette Newman from Carlow started with a close finish win over Veronica Hallahan from Dublin 53-49. Christine Carr from Kildare had a close encounter with Jackie Trulock from Dublin to take the win on the alarm 72-67
Session 2 saw Annette improve her scoring against Christine taking the win on the alarm 90-63. Veronica finished well against Jackie in their match to take the win 53-44 in a close match
The final session would see Annette take her 3rd win of the evening with a 78-62 score line against Jackie and Christine would take the win in another close match against Veronica 62-55
With the results in, Annette would take the win with Christine in second place
