Christine Carr from Kildare won the 2025 RILPA National Pool Championship at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge recently. Veronica Hallahan was the runner up in the Championship
This Championship was played in a round robin format with each match 2 frames and the player with the most frame wins would take the title
In session 1 Jackie Trulock from Dublin got off to a good start with a 2 nil win over Brigid Mulvany from Dublin and Christine Carr from Kildare had a good 2 nil win over Natalia Trochonowicz also from Kildare
Session 2 saw Jackie draw with Veronica Hallahan from Dublin 1-1 and Natalia got a 2 nil win over Brigid in their match
Session 3 would see Jackie and Natalia draw their match 1-1, Christine and Veronica also drew their match 1-1 so at this point we had three players level on points, it was all still to play for as session 4 got underway. Natalia and Veronica would draw their match 1-1 and Christine had a 2 nil win over Brigid to take it down to the wire in the final session
In Session 5 Christine had a great 2 nil win over Jackie and Veronica had a great 2 nil win over Natalia with Christine finishing on 7 points and take the Championship title, Veronica’s 2 nil win over Natalia would give her the runner up spot on 5 points
Congratulations to Christine on her win and well done to Veronica on her runner up place. Thanks to all the ladies who supported the event. Thanks to Bernie, Paul and staff of Sharkx for all their support
