Female Cue Sports Ireland continues their progress in developing female cue sports in Ireland. The team at Female Cue Sports Ireland are absolutely delighted with their progress as the membership exceeds 1,200 and is growing on a weekly basis with our developments in our member school academies
Many of our School Academies are now holding leagues in Snooker, Pool and Billiards, this is all due to our Coaching initiatives that has produced over 40 female coaches in schools. Along with tables supplied to over 80 schools since 2010, the uptake at school level is fantastic where our members have the opportunity to play cue sports for fun
Over the years we have seen a number of young girls come through our member schools out to our National tour. Our National Ranking list shows the increase each year of those who participate in our events across the various levels that are available from Beginner to Amateur.
Our scholarship at our Academy has 16 young girls selected and sponsored to help them improve their skills and a Scholarship at Maynooth University has one member at the moment and we will be introducing another member in September 2026 as progress continues in this area
Female Cue Sports Ireland now facilitate over 50 events for females on our Calendar and over 130 dates allocated to enable females of all ages and levels to participate and receive free coaching at our Academy Sharkx Newbridge by professional coaches
As we continue to grow cue sports for females at grass root level in Ireland we thank all involved in making our organisation the success it is today.
