Fergal O’Brien once again held the Phil Martin Junior Snooker Cup at the Celbridge Snooker Club recently after it’s great success in 2024 with 32 players, Fergal went one better this time round with 48 young players representing 15 Counties and their was again hailed a fantastic success by Fergal and his team who ensured a smooth running event

We at Female Cue Sports Ireland were delighted to be part of this event with Fergal, Peter and Shane who were organising and helping out on the day.

Phil Martin of the Celbridge Snooker Club was on hand to present the prizes to the players in his name.  Phil has been a fantastic supporter of Snooker and Billiards for many years and to have his name on this cup is a testament to his great work in helping develop cue sports, so well deserved

The staff at the Celbridge are very welcoming and dedicated to ensuring the club is very well run and in particular to Johanna who put in a lot of work in the run up to the event

Thanks to our team from Female Cue Sports Ireland who helped out throughout the weekend, Referees Annette Newman, Stephanie Foley, Martin Foley and Dave Earle who officiated the main final on the Sunday.  Annette  refereed the plate competition final while Stephanie and Martin kept all the tables in top notch for each session.

Thanks to Fergal for all he is doing to help our youngsters here in Ireland and growing the sport he is so passionate about.  Fergal is a great advocate for Female Cue Sports for many years and we are delighted to have him on board

Thanks to all the clubs and sponsors of the event along with parents and mentors who ensured the players got to the venue on time
