Joanna Ward from Kildare secured her first RILSA National Snooker Title winning the National Snooker League and in doing so received the Larry O’Dea Cup
The Larry O’Dea Cup was introduced four years ago to the RILSA Calendar and at that time Larry was honoured to have a Cup named after him. Just two years ago we lost Larry and his memory will go on with this event now part of the calendar of events. Larry was a great supporter of female cue sports for over 40 years and we at RILSA are delighted to host this in his memory every year
Annette Newman who won this Cup for the last three years was on hand to present the Cup to Joanna on behalf of the O’Dea family and congratulated Joanna on her win
Runner up in the league was Jackie Trulock following in semi final places was Annette Newman and Veronica Hallahan and in quarter final places were Christine Carr, Colette Cribben, Natalia Trochonowicz and Brigid Mulvany. All received their prizes and were delighted to be part of this league
Joanna played very well throughout winning all her matches and this title is well deserved
Congratulations to Joanna on her win and well done to Jackie on her runner up place and thanks to all the ladies who participated and received their well earned prizes
We look forward to commencing League 5 in 2026 where the Larry O’Dea Cup will be up for grabs once more.
