Louise Maher from Kilkenny won the recent 6 Red Snooker plate Competition at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge

At the quarter final stage of the event Jackie Trulock from Dublin won her match against Brigid Mulvany also from Dublin for a place in the semis.  Louise Maher from Kilkenny saw off a good challenge from Lynda Curley from Offaly to take the win on the colours in the frame needed to advance to the semis

At the bottom half of the draw Valerie Maloney from Laois and Veronica Hallahan from Dublin went to a black ball finish with Valerie taking the frame to advance and Natalia Trochonowicz from Kildare had a good win over Tina Keogh from Offaly to set up a meeting with Valerie in the semis

Louise had to dig deep against Jackie to get over the line in their match for a place in the final and likewise on the other table Natalia took a black ball win to meet Louise in the final

The final itself was a close encounter with both players keeping in touch all the way to a pink ball finish with Louise potting it for the win

Congratulations to Louise on her win and well done to Natalia on a fine performance.  Thanks to Martin Foley on refereeing the final and thanks to Bernie, Paul and staff of Sharkx for all their support
