Lynda Curley from Offaly won her first National Intermediate Ranking title recently when she defeated Joanna Ward from Kildare in the final of the first Intermediate Ranking event of the season
At the prelim round of the event Jackie Trulock from Dublin ousted Delia Keane in their match to move into the Quarters. Qianhui Ye from Wicklow was in good form against Savannah Keane from Dublin and took the win for a Quarter final place. Christine Carr from Kildare won her match against Brigid Mulvany from Dublin to advance and complete the Quarter final line up
The youngster Qianhui Ye took Jackie Trulock to a respot black and potted it to take the win and a place in the semis. Lynda Curley from Offaly had a good win over Christine to meet Qianhui in the semis while at the other half of the draw we saw Veronica Hallahan from Dublin take the win against Valerie Maloney from Laois to advance to the semis and Joanna Ward from Kildare had a good win over Tina Keogh from Offaly to go through to the semis and a match against Veronica
The semi finals saw some good snooker played with Lynda making it through to the final against Qianhui and Joanna taking the win against Veronica to meet Lynda in the final
The final itself was a close affair and it would be Lynda who would take the win on the colours in the frame needed.
Congratulations to Lynda on her win and well done to Joanna on a fine performance
Thanks to Martin Foley on refereeing the final and thanks to all the ladies for their support
Thanks to Bernie, Paul and staff of Sharkx for all their help and support as always
