Christine Carr from Kildare won the first National Amateur Billiards Ranking Event the Stars Academy Masters at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Recently with Annette Newman from Carlow in runner up place

The first session saw Annette Newman from Carlow get off to a winning start  against Jackie Trulock from Dublin finishing strong as the seconds ticked down 78-47 on the alarm.  Christine Carr from Kildare had a good win against Natalia Trochonowicz from Kildare also finishing strong in the final minutes 80-58 on the alarm and Veronica Hallahan from Dublin took the win against Joanna Ward from Kildare in a low scoring match 59-28

Session 2 Annette struggled to get form against Natalia with both players level towards the final few minutes, Natalia got a few small scores to take the win on the alarm 56-45 in a low scoring match.   Christine continued her form against Joanna finishing on a score of 73-42 to take the win. Jackie won against Veronica in a low scoring match 52-29 on the alarm

The 3rd session saw another few low scoring matches as the players struggled to find form and this seems to happen at the beginning of the season and improves as the tour progresses.  Annette took the win against Veronica 54-36 and Christine kept her form against Jackie taking the win 70-54.  Joanna had a few small breaks towards the end of her match against Natalia to seal the win on the alarm 72-38

In session 4 Jackie got off the session with a much improved score against Joanna 85-36 on the alarm.  Annette improved her scoring against the in form Christine taking the win on the alarm 73-54 and Veronica had a good win over Natalia in their match 56-36 on the alarm

The 5th and final session saw Annette take the win against Joanna 59-46,  Veronica won against Christine 59-44 and Jackie saw off a challenge with Natalia to get over the line on the alarm 69-59 for the win

With the scores in and tallied it Would be Christine who would take the win with 321 points Annette in runner up place with 309 points and very closely followed in 3rd spot by Jackie on 307 points and Natalia in 4th place on 247 points

Congratulations to Christine on her win and well done to Annette for a her runner up place
