Claire Mill from Dublin won the RILSA National Snooker Masters Championship recently adding yet another title this season as she dominates the RILSA tour. Claire has worked hard to get to this stage in her Snooker Career after joining the tour in 2019, she went straight into the top 16 at 13th spot and held her 13 place the following season, however she began to show much improvement over the past two seasons holding the number 3 spot on the National Rankings. Claire now is provisionally number 1 and is hoping to keep this place by seasons end
Up for grabs was the Noel Murphy Shield. Noel was an avid supporter of RILSA back in the 70’s, 80’s and 90,s where he would show up at most of the events to help out refereeing. This Shield is dedicated to Noel and his many years involvement during those early years of the Organisation’s development.
At the Quarter Final stage Annette Newman from Carlow had a good 2 – 1 win over Jackie Trulock from Dublin to advance to the semis. Tina Keogh from Offaly went through to meet Annette with a good 2 nil win over Brigid Mulvany from Dublin
At the bottom half of the draw Claire Mill from Dublin had a good 2 nil win over Veronica Hallahan also from Dublin for a place in the semis and Cathy Dunne from Dublin had a good 2 nil win over Valerie Maloney from Laois to complete the semi final line up
Tina took the first frame on the black but Annette responded well in the second to level the match. The 3rd frame went all the way to a pink ball with Annette potting it for a place in the final.
On the other table Claire started well taking the first however Cathy responded well to level the match at 1-1. The final frame went all the way to a black ball finish with both players having chances to pot but it would be Claire who potted for the match and a meeting with Annette in the final
The final saw Annette having chances on the colours to take it but Claire held firm to take it on the pink. The second frame was close for a while however Claire picked off the colours to take frame and match and the title of RILSA National Masters Champion for 2025

Congratulations to Claire on her win and well done to Annette on her fine performance throughout. Thanks to all the ladies for their support and participation.
A big thank you to Bernie, Paul and staff of Sharkx for all their support as always
