Female Cue Sports Ireland’s membership has exceeded 900 members to date with the likely hood we will reach 1000 by the end of 2024.
Since 2014 we have increased our membership year in and year out. Our National Amateur ranking list now has 592 players who have participated at National level.
Many more females have been participating in cue sports at school and college level since our initiatives to increase participation began in 2014.
In 2023 we have had 221 females participate in cue sports at our Academy Sharkx Newbridge and we intend to break this record in 2024.
While 90% of our members are at our school and college space we see more and more young girls come out to coaching days and competitions, especially at our special championships and u21 championship, with a new initiative planned to get leagues for young girls up and running at our Academy this year, we hope to see increased participation in both competition and at school level
Our new school development plan is currently underway with coaching courses for female teachers and tables being installed in all girl schools in particular this year along with a few pilot mixed schools.
