After our recent National Intermediate Snooker Championship at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge we held a plate competition for all first round knocked out players.

Jennifer Earle from Dublin won her first event in snooker by taking the Intermediate Plate Competition event win against Joanna Ward from Kildare.

Jennifer would see off Stephanie Foley from Carlow in their semi final match with a great display of snooker from the youngster to meet Joanna in the final.

The final would see Jennifer play her best snooker to date with a solid 2-0 defeat over Joanna.  Both these players have been selected recently for a year long Horizon Scholarship that will help them develop and improve their skills in both snooker and billiards.  It was good to see them reach the final on the day and we wish them both a great year of scholarship development.

Congratulations to Jennifer on winning her first event and to Joanna on a fine performance.  Again we are delighted to see the girls turn up and participate in our events.  Thanks to Bernie, Paul and staff of Sharkx for their help and support.
