Louise Maher from Kilkenny won the 6 Red Snooker Plate Competition at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge recently
Following on from the National 6 Red Snooker Championship, those knocked out from the earlier rounds took part in the plate event
At the semi final stage of the event Annette Newman won her match against the youngster Quyian Ye comfortably to go through to the final while Louise Maher had a much closer match against Veronica Hallahan going all the way to the pink ball to take the win and meet Annette in the final
The final saw both players play good snooker and it would go all the way to a black ball finish with Louise potting it to take the win
