Annette Newman from Carlow is the one to catch on the Amateur Billiards Tour as she makes good ground on the National Billiards Rankings to remain Irish number 1 for the 6th year in a row. Annette has set the bar in women’s billiards in Ireland and has to keep ahead of the pack as they improve their game each season which is a great achievement for her.
Christine Carr from Kildare is close on Annette’s heels and the Kildare woman is looking to take the number 1 spot away as she has been placed number 2 for the last 6 years, which is a great achievement for her also
Joanna Ward from Kildare is placed in 3rd spot and like Christine is close on the rankings and has the opportunity to become number 2 by the end of the tour while Stephanie Foley from Carlow is in 4th spot at the moment and hopes to stay within the top 4 this season but Tina Keogh from Offaly may have a say in things by the end of the season as she is close on points to Stephanie.
We are looking forward to a festival of female billiards once restrictions are lifted with a number of events to be played over a number of evenings.
