Annette Newman from Carlow regained her RILBA National 100Up Billiards Championship Title recently and for the 5th time since its inception in 2019. Jackie Trulock from Dublin reached her first RILBA Amateur Billiards final on tour
At the Quarter final stage of this timed knockout event, Joanna Ward from Kildare who won this title back in 2019 got the better of Veronica Hallahan from Dublin taking the win 100-40 to go through to the semis against the number 1 seed Annette Newman from Carlow
In a low scoring match finishing on the alarm Jackie Trulock from Dublin and current National Intermediate Billiards Champion took the win against Brigid Mulvany from Dublin 68-35. The current RILBA National U21 Champion Natalia Trochonowicz had a very close match against the Irish number 2 Christine Carr both from Kildare with Natalia closing out on 100 to 95 to reach the semis
In the semis Annette held firm against Joanna who kept it close for most of the match but Annette got to the 100 with time to spare and Joanna finish on 73. Annette was back in the final once more and was looking to see who would come through between Jackie and Natalia, Jackie had to call on her experience to get over the line in a very close contest as Natalia kept in touch all the way but Jackie got the win on the alarm 100-84 to meet Annette in her first Amateur Billiards final on tour
In the final Annette played well with a number of small breaks got to the 100 before the time with Jackie on 60 to regain her RILBA National 100Up Billiards Championship title for 2026
