Grushenka Arnold from Wicklow won her first ever RILSA National Intermediate Snooker Ranking event on tour. Grushenka was runner up on two occasions in the past and she persevered and got over the line with her first win on tour against the current National U21 Snooker Champion Qianhui Ye also from Wicklow
At the semi final stage of the event Qianhui Ye from Wicklow had a good win over Christine Carr from Kildare, scoring well inn their match to get to the final and on the other table Grushenka Arnold from Wicklow got the better of Brigid Mulvany from Dublin in their match to advance to meet Qianhui Ye in the final
The final was an all Wicklow affair with both players playing good snooker however Grushenka took the colours in the frame needed against Qianhui to take the win on the day
Congratulations to Grushenka on her win and not alone she won but places her provisionally ranked number 1. Well done to Qianhui on her runner up place and places her into number 2 spot on the provisional rankings, so exciting times ahead as the season progresses for these players
