Annette Newman from Carlow won her 7th National Amateur Billiards Championship Title in a row at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge recently.  An fantastic achievement for her.

In session 1 of the round robin timed event Annette Newman from Carlow would see off a good fight by Joanna Ward (Kildare) in their match with  Annette taking the win on a strong finish 100-75.  Tina Keogh from Offaly was in good form against Christine Carr from Kildare taking the win on the alarm 86-71

Session 2 would see Annette continue her winning form playing good billiards against the ever improving Tina with the clock ticking down to the final second Annette 91- to Tina 58.  Christine upped her game against Joanna to finish their match strong on the alarm with the win 96-49

The final session saw Annette finish with a win again, against Christine on the alarm 69-45 while Tina got back into winning mode against Joanna on the alarm 74-52

Congratulations to Annette on retaining the National Amateur Billiards Championship Title and for the 7th year in a row, an amazing achievement for her.  Well done to Tina on finishing runner up in the Championship for the first time and thanks to all the girls for their participation and support.
