Over the past year Female Cue Sports Ireland have been very busy developing and promoting Cue Sports to our National School Academies around Ireland
With new Schools coming on board every few months, our development in Female Cue Sports is growing at a fantastic rate. We are now up to almost 1200 members with many of these playing cue sports within the school system that we created back in 2010
782 young girls and women have competed on the National Tours at various levels since 2014 and by the end of 2025 we will see over 1000 females join our National Ranking list.
At present our School Academies are holding leagues and one day competitions that are creating more interest among the students and this is very encouraging indeed. In 2024 we introduced the Kildare Pool, Snooker and Billiard leagues that were played out over 12 weeks at our National Academy at Sharkx Newbridge and 2025 is no different as we commence out Kildare Pool, Snooker and Billiard leagues once more
Thanks to Dearbhail Dowling and teachers at the Holy Family School Newbridge for support the students and our planned events over the past three years. The girls selected for the Leagues are absolutely delighted to get involved and we as always provide free coaching
Currently just over 300 girls are signed up to leagues and one day events within our School Academies and we see this grow into the future.
We thank all the teachers and mentors who oversee this development in Cue Sports here in Ireland which is unprecedented and bodes well for the future of Female Cue Sports in Ireland
We will keep you all updated on our progress on this website and we thank everyone for their help and support and in particular our Board Members who give freely of their time and Sharkx Newbridge for providing Ireland’s first Female Cue Sports Academy that we believe is the only one in the World at present
