The 2021-2022 National Snooker Intermediate Tour season saw many newcomers to the tour with increased participation. Players representing 9 counties for the first time on tour, showing our promotions and development over the past number of seasons is working well indeed.
Stephanie Foley from Carlow retained her number 1 spot on tour, congratulations to her on this great achievement. Tina Keogh from Offaly went into 2nd place after a great season having jumped from 9th place last season. Christine Carr from Kildare went back into the top 4 at 3rd spot from 6th and Jennifer Earle from Dublin moved up one place from 5th to 4th place, all great results for these players.
Louise Maher from Kilkenny finished 5th on the National Intermediate Rankings after a great first season with RILSA having won 3 events in a row and finishing runner up to Tina Keogh in the final event of the season in Celbridge, a great achievement for the Kilkenny woman.
Other newcomers on tour this season who made a great progress finishing in the top 16 on their first season are 12th Grushenka Arnold from Dublin, 13th Michelle Morris from Donegal, 14th Elizabeth Lynch from Offaly, 15th Nafeesa Naz from Dublin and 16th Laura Hughes from Limerick. Well done to everyone on their results in the National Intermediate Rankings this season.
Suzanne Randle from Limerick finished 10th from 34th last season a great result for her on tour. Those who dropped down the rankings are, Carrie Randle from Wicklow 2nd to 7th, Joanna Ward from Kildare from 3rd to 6th, Valerie Maloney from Laois 7th to 8th, Megan Randle from Wicklow 4th to 9th, Emirjeta Doda 8th to 11th. While these players moved down the rankings they all remain in the top 16 which qualifies them for the National Intermediate Championship on Saturday 9th April 2022
