The second instalment of seminars in both Snooker & Billiards was held recently at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge
This time out the students were introduced to the game of English Billiards conducted by Brendan Devlin and Aonghus McAnally with Shane Mason in attendance.
In March 2023 Brendan Devlin gave the inaugural seminar on Billiards with the support of Neil Shanahan and Shane Mason of the SBI Referees Association. We at Female Cue Sports Ireland were delighted to be part of History in the making
Now following on from then we are back once more with another seminar on Billiards. Both Brendan and Aonghus were delighted to see more student referees from RILSA take part and become integrated into the Referees Association helping grow the number of Referees on the circuit
The students, Martin Foley, Delia Keane, Jackie Trulock and Veronica Hallahan were put through their paces in the sport of Billiards and given fantastic explanation of the rules and guidance on refereeing the game by our very experienced examiners in Brendan and Aonghus.
We are delighted to be part of the Referees Association and thank Brendan, Aonghus, Shane and Neil for all their help and support
Well done to our representatives Martin, Delia, Jackie and Veronica who will play a vital part of our growing Organisation in helping referee on our very busy calendar during the years ahead and also play a big part in helping SBI with their major events during their calendar season on tour
