As we are just over half way through the 2024-2025 season we see many changes to our National Amateur Snooker rankings
Annette Newman our current number 1 is provisionally ranked number 1 to date but with a few events remaining, Annette will have to do well in them to hold onto it. Likewise Claire Mill is holding firm in 2nd place and will need to continue her good form in the remaining events to either overtake Annette or keep her number 2 spot at the end of the season. Cathy Dunne has dropped from 3rd to 7th place so far but is very capable of moving back into the top 4 by seasons end. Sandra Bryan has moved up a place from 4th to 3rd spot and is in a good place to remain in the top 4
Jackie Trulock is down to 12 place from 5th last season. Stephanie Foley is down to 6th from 4 last season and due to injury its very likely Stephanie will drop out of the top 8. Christine Carr is down from 5th to 7th, Valerie Maloney has just dropped outside the top 8th to 10th but still has a chance to get back into the top 8 by the end of the season. Jennifer Earle is down to 12th place from 9th and needs to play in the remaining events if she wants to finish in the top 16 by seasons end.
Grushenka Arnold is outside the top 16 so far down from 10th to 25th and can certainly make it back into the top 16 with two events remaining. Veronica Hallahan has remained in 11th place. Margaret O’Driscoll has jumped up to 6th place from 12th last season and is likely to stay in the top 8. Tina Keogh has dropped from 13th place to 15th spot so far but is very capable of a top 10 spot by seasons end. Louise Maher is down to 24th place from 14th but can make it back into the top 16 if she plays in the next two events
Joanna Ward is up into 8th place from 15th spot and newcomer Delia Keane is holding fast at 16th place and hopes to finish her firs season in the top 16. Newcomer Quiahui Ye is provisionally 9th so far is capable of a top 8. Margaret Browne is back into the top 16 at 14th spot from 27th last season
So still a lot to play for by seasons end. We wish all our players the very best of luck for the remainder of the season
