Sandra Bryan from Wexford is on a roll at the moment on the RILSA Snooker Tour winning the recent Mary Raymond Cup at the RILSA Academy, this makes it three in a row for the Wexford woman after she claimed the National 6 Red and 10 Red Championship titles over the past few months.  A fantastic achievement for her

At the last 16 stage of the event Stephanie Foley from Carlow had a close encounter with newcomer Veronica Hallahan from Dublin with the match 1-1 it would go all the way to the pink ball in the third frame with Stephanie potting for frame and match to advance to the quarters.  Claire Mill from Dublin had a walkover from Margaret Browne from Meath as she was unwell to travel on the day, we wish Margaret a speedy recovery.  Annette Newman from Carlow had to dig deep in her match against Valerie Maloney from Laois to take the win in a close contest 2 nil to make it through to the quarters.  Jackie Trulock from Dublin also a newcomer to the tour this season had a close match against Grushenka Arnold from Dublin and won the match 2 frames to 1 to complete the quarter final line up.

Cathy Dunne from Dublin and the number 1 seed ,played well against Joanna Ward from Kildare and took the win 2 nil to move into the semis.  Claire struggled against Stephanie who was playing well on the day and just got over the line 2 frames to 1 to meet Cathy in the semis.

In the bottom half of the quarters Annette played solid snooker and took the win 2 nil against Jackie for a place in the semis.  The number 2 seed Sandra Bryan from Wexford had to call on all her experience to overcome a strong challenge from Tina Keogh from Offaly going all the way to a pink ball in frame 3 which Sandra potted to advance and complete the semi final line up

Cathy played good snooker throughout her match against Claire and took the win 2 frames to nil and a place in the final.  On the other table Sandra played well to take the win against Annette 2 nil and to meet Cathy in the final

The final was a very close match with the game level at 1-1 it would go all the way to a black ball finish with Cathy having a few chances to pot but Sandra doubled the black into the yellow pocket for match and take the Mary Raymond Cup title 2023
