Sandra Bryan from Wexford won the 2023 National 6 Red Snooker Championship title at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge recently.  This is Sandra’s 4th National 6 Red Championship title since its inception in 2015, a fantastic achievement for the Wexford woman

At the prelim stage Cathy Dunne from Dublin had a good 2 nil win over Stephanie Foley from Carlow to advance to the quarters, Jennifer Earle from Dublin got a bye into the quarters and Sandra Bryan from Wexford had a 2 nil win over newcomer Veronica Hallahan from Dublin to complete the quarter final line up

In the Quarters Claire Mill from Dublin and the current holder of the title played solid snooker to take the win over Tina Keogh from Offaly on a 2 nil score line for a place in the semis.  Cathy and Jennifer had a good match with Cathy taking the win 2 frames to nil to meet Claire in the Semis

At the other end of the draw Sandra played good snooker against Valerie Maloney from Laois taking the win 2 frames to nil to advance to the semis.  Annette Newman from Carlow had a good 2 frames to nil win over Jackie Trulock from Dublin to meet Sandra and complete the semi final line up

Cathy took the first frame but Claire responded well to level the match and with a very close final frame going all the way to the pink ball it would be Cathy who would pot it to reach the final, likewise the match between Sandra and Annette was another close encounter with Sandra taking the first and Annette levelling the match 1-1 however the final frame would go all the way to another pink ball with Sandra potting it to meet  Cathy in the final

In the final Sandra won the first frame on a black ball and in the second Cathy had chances to level as the frame went all the way to yet another pink ball with Sandra potting it to take the title of RILSA National 6 Red Snooker Champion 2023 and for the 4th time since 2015
