Two teams of Female players represented Ireland at the recent Home Internationals Billiards Team Championships at the Northern Snooker Centre Leeds Uk and certainly did us proud in the event. With strong male teams from the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Jersey, England, Scotland and Wales the ladies played their best over the two days of the event and scored well in their matches against strong opposition from a number of National and World Champions in the mix and by their participation representing SB Ireland and Female Cue Sports Ireland they made History as the very first Female Billiard Teams to represent their Country at the Home International Billiards Event since its inception back in the 1960’s
Our team players Annette Newman, Tina Keogh, Stephanie Foley, Joanna Ward and Jennifer Earle did us proud and well done to one and all
Our referees from the panel Dave Earle and Dan Carroll officiated throughout the two days also
We at Female Cue Sports Ireland wish to congratulate our two teams and referees for all their support and participation. A big thank you to all at SBI and the organisers of the Home International for all their help and support in making this happen and for running an excellent Championships in Leeds
Thanks to the owners and staff of the Northern Snooker Centre for their kind hospitality
