Tina Keogh from Offaly won the recent RILSA National Intermediate Snooker Ranking event 5 of the season at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge
At the Quarter final stage of the event our youngest player on tour Qianhui Ye from Wicklow went through to the semis over Valerie Maloney from Laois. Natalia Trochonowicz from Kildare and our newest youngster got a bye to meet Qianhui in the semis
At the other half of the draw Lynda Curley from Offaly had a good win over Christine Carr from Kildare for a place in the semis and Tina Keogh from Offaly won her match against Brigid Mulvany from Dublin to complete the semi final line up
In the semis Natalia overcame a good challenge from Qianhui but would advance to her first final on tour and Tina took the win over Lynda to meet Natalia in the final
The final itself was close for the most part however experience was the factor on the day with Tina taking the win on the colours in the frame needed for the win
Congratulations to Tina on her win and well done to Natalia on a fine performance in her first event and took away the silver medal.
Our youngsters are making an impact on the tour and will be a force to reckon with in the near future.
Thanks to all the ladies for their participation and support. Thanks to Stephanie Foley who refereed the final and a big thank you as always to Bernie, Paul and staff of Sharkx for all their support
