Valerie Maloney from Laois won the last National Intermediate Snooker Ranking event of the 2023-2024 RILSA Tour season in a very close contest against Veronica Hallahan from Dublin who was in her first final on tour
At the Quarter Final stage Valerie Maloney from Laois had a good win over Jackie Trulock from Dublin for a place in the semis. Delia Keane and Grushenka Arnold both from Dublin had a close match with Delia making it through to meet Valerie in the semis
At the bottom half of the draw, Veronica Hallahan from Dublin had a good win over Joanna Ward from Kildare to advance to the semis and Jennifer Earle from Dublin had a bye to meet Veronica and complete the semi final line up
Valerie kept up her good form against Delia and took the win for a place in the final while Veronica also played well to get the win over Jennifer to reach her first final on tour
The final was close all the way to a black ball finish between Valerie and Veronica, however it would be Valerie who would take the win on the day
Congratulations to Valerie on her win and well done to Veronica on her fine performance and reaching her first final on tour. Thanks to all the ladies for their participation and support. Thanks to Dave Earle who officiated as TD on the day and thanks to Bernie, Paul and staff of Sharkx Newbridge for all their support
