Natalia Trochonowicz from Kildare won the RILSA Snooker Championship Plate Competition at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge recently

At the prelim round Joanna Ward from Kildare had a win against Brigid Mulvany from Dublin to advance to the semis and Veronica Hallahan from Dublin took the win against Christine Carr from Kildare to go through to the semis

In the semis Natalia Trochonowicz from Kildare had a good win over Joanna Ward also from Kildare for a place in the final and on the other table Veronica Hallahan from Dublin won the frame needed against Valerie Maloney from Laois to meet Natalia in the final

The final itself was a close affair with Veronica needing a snooker with pink and black on the table but unfortunately she potted the pink by mistake to give Natalia the frame and match

Congratulations to Natalia on her win and well done to Veronica on a fine performance.  Thanks to all the ladies who participated.  Thanks to Bernie, Paul and staff of Sharkx for all their support

Thanks to Joanna for refereeing the final

Thanks to Ger Dunphy for recovering the tables in time for the weekends events which made for top class conditions for our players who were absolutely delighted
