Annette Newman from Carlow regained her 100 Up National Billiards Championship at the RILSA Academy Sharkx Newbridge.

Annette has now completed a clean slate winning all 3 National Amateur Billiard Titles along with the 6 National Billiard Ranking events for the season, what an achievement for her.  While Annette has dominated the National Tour for the past 7 seasons, she is very aware of the standard of all the other ladies on tour and that they are hot on her heels going into the 2022 season.

Annette, in her semi final match against Christine Carr from Kildare, she played great billiards to oust Christine with 20 minutes of time remaining to get her to 103 to 47 to reach the final.  On the other table Stephanie Foley from Carlow upped her game against the current 100Up Champion, Joanna Ward from Kildare to finish on the alarm 99-63 to meet Annette in the final.

In the all Carlow final, Annette continued her good form, while Stephanie had a number of chances to capitalise on during their match it was not to be as Annette finished strong again with minutes remaining to win 101-60

Congratulations to Annette on regaining the 100 Up Championship Title and achieving a 100% record wins for the season also.  Well done to Stephanie on her performance throughout and thanks to all the ladies for their participation.  Thanks to Bernie, Paul and staff of Sharkx for their kind support and to Dave and Aidan who helped throughout the season.
