15 times World Billiards Champion Dave Causier added yet another World title to his already 15 titles when he won the WBL World Matchplay Billiards Championship in Carlow recently
The event was run in the SBI Academy Carlow with a great field of players from around the World. Five players out of seven in the World who made 1000 breaks in the last 10 years were participating in the event.
A fantastic event with many great performances from our top players in Dave Causier, Mike Russell, Peter Gilchrist, Peter Sheehan and Pankaj Advani showed their skills over the five days of competition
Congratulations to Dave Causier on his win and well done to Mike Russell who is back on tour after a 10 year break and shows how good he is making the final.
Well done to the Board of the WBL for a very successful event once again with thanks to Aonghus, Chris, Darren and Jason who work hard in the background and during the event. Well done to SBI for hosting the event once again and providing excelling playing conditions to all the players
